We’re excited to welcome Dr. Sam Heidari to the LATYS advisory board!
Dr. Heidari is a seasoned executive and board member for both public and private companies, with decades of experience innovating novel technologies as well as building successful products and businesses. From 2011 to 2019, Dr. Heidari was the CEO, and starting in 2016, also the Chairman of the board, of Quantenna Communications, Inc. in which he drove the organization in developing what we believe was the most advanced Wi-Fi hardware and software solutions in the industry – thereby enabling networking applications previously not thought possible. Dr. Heidari led Quantenna’s growth from zero revenue to $220 million, and took the company public in 2016. Quantenna was acquired by ON Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: ON) in 2019. Prior to Quantenna, Dr. Heidari served as chief technology officer at Ikanos Communications from 2006 to 2009. Originally, he joined Ikanos as one of its original team members in 1999 and provided meaningful contributions towards its IPO 2005.. From 2005 to 2006, Dr. Heidari served as Doradus Technologies, Inc.’s president and CEO and under Dr. Heidari’s management, Doradus Technologies grew from founding to profitability within 18 months. In 2006, Doradus Technologies was acquired by Ikanos Communications. Dr. Heidari has served on the Global Semiconductor Alliance Board of Directors and on the advisory board for both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Departments at the University of Southern California. He is a senior member of IEEE and holds about 50 U.S. and international patents. Dr. Heidari was named the 2014 Executive of the Year by the Golden Bridge Awards and the 2017 Executive of the Year by UBM. Dr. Heidari holds and M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. degree from Northeastern University, all in Electrical Engineering.
